It's Beginning To Feel A Little Chilly

Please accept my apologies for the lack of post last Sunday there was a technical issue beyond my control which was frustrating. Last week was all about creating a sustainable bar mitzvah for Noah on Eco Shabbat which coincided with Cop 26. We created topiary trees from tree stumps found at Potters Bar recycling centre and used empty kosher pickle jars as vases. This week we launched our annual warm winter coat collection for Colindale Food Bank. Last year we collected 90 which was glorious and already 3 days after launch we’ve got 65. They’ve been dropped off by everyone from Chris (see picture) who donated 34 from herself and The Big Choir to the man who mistakenly bought a coat 2 sizes too small during lockdown, thank goodness I cleared the storage room. If you’ve got an adult or child’s coat you’d like to donate you can drop it off any afternoon (except Sunday) after 1.00. On Thursday I collected gorgeous white lisianthus and lavender ‘Amnesia’ roses from Cathy, the London wedding florist, they were left over from a BBC film shoot and 20 women at Barnet’s Health & Wellbeing Hub loved using them the following day. This Wednesday I’m collecting flowers from Claridges which I’m really looking forward to. My thanks to Helen Harte who’s worked her social media fingers to the bone for me this week. Our wreath workshops on 4 December were sold out it in 24 hours because of her, she is a triumph and I’m very lucky to have her on my side. Have a great week. Ursula
